This year has brought us a few really good bangers so far and some king of the conceal carries still reign supreme from previous years!
We want to look back at our selling history to see what our customers are getting and what we think of their choices. It is interesting to see how the gun market is looking and we want to share with you.
This is not a ranking of good vs bad, nor are we endorsing any given handgun. We can however draw some conclusions on general consensus of how to rank them regardless.
Starting from gun number 5 and working our way up.
5. Smith and Wesson Shield Plus 9mm 13/15+1
I am neither shocked nor surprised the absolute tank of a gun Shield Plus is on this list, I am more surprised it isn't higher! It has been a great pick in recent years due to its extreme reliability and feature set that sets it apart for being well designed and well priced.
The reliability aspect alone should get people to heavily consider this over others as it can withstand the elements, abuse, and neglect and still keep running like a top.
Pros of the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus:
1. Compact size, making it easy to carry concealed.
2. Higher magazine capacity compared to the original Shield model.
3. Reliable performance and accuracy.
4. Comfortable grip for extended shooting sessions.
Cons of the Smith and Wesson Shield Plus:
1. Some users may find the trigger pull weight to be heavier than desired.
2. Limited aftermarket accessories compared to other popular models.
3. Polarizing stippling of the grip.
4. Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro 9mm 17+1
Ah yes, the Macro. Honestly one of the best amalgamations of gun design wizardry and technological improvements.
Its slim, its sexy, its 17 rounds, it also boasts every fun feature you could want. It is available with and without a built in compensator, while we have sold many of both, the vast majority is actually without the compensator fun fact.
There really isn't a more well designed conceal carry piece that can boast all the features and also a large cap magazine in SUCH a small package and ALSO be able to shoot well, the price point is the only thing holding this one back from being number one.
Pros of Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro:
Compact design for easy concealment and carry
Generous magazine capacity
Enhanced trigger mechanism for a smoother shooting experience
Cons of Sig Sauer P365 X-Macro:
Slightly more pronounced recoil due to smaller size
Less comfortable for individuals with larger hands
Higher price compared to similar models
3. Ruger Security 380acp 12/15+1
In an unexpected twist, Ruger has hit it out of the park with their most recent addition to their polymer framed conceal carry handgun line up.
The Security 380 may be on the slightly larger size relative to conceal carry handguns, but its still a small enough footprint to carry. The main advantages of the Security 380 is in its easy to rack slide with deep cutouts for easy grasp in conjunction with its light recoil spring to produce a very pleasant user experience. The trigger is no slouch either as the shooter can do quite well with it. Thanks to its large mag capacity, its a formidable force for sure.
Pros:
Compact size, easy to conceal
Reliable performance
Good accuracy for a small handgun
Easy to operate and maintain
Reasonably priced
Cons:
Trigger pull may be heavier/longer than desired
Not as many customization options available
No night sights included
2. Glock 43X MOS 9mm 10+1
I will be the first to admit, I am not a Glock lover. I got myself a PSA Dagger for fun but I don't think I would buy a Glock for myself. That was true until we really got the Glock 43X in and we got some time to get familiar with it.
The Glock 43X maintains the design philosophy of previous Glocks, however it now gets to live on in a truncated form for conceal carry. The 43X boasts a robust and reliable design, a great for carry trigger, slim frame, shortened frame and slide, and being MOS it is red dot ready with any of your favorite RMSc footprint red dots. We are really becoming firm believers in the Holosun EPS Carry recently. Great ergonomics and a great track record, this should be a strong contender for anyone's money. Comes standard with 10rd mags, but 15rd mags are available.
Pros of Glock 43X MOS:
Modular Optic System (MOS) for easy mounting of red dot sights
Slim and compact design for easy concealment
Reliable Glock performance and durability
Improved grip ergonomics compared to standard Glock 43
Cons of Glock 43X MOS:
May require additional investment for optics
Some users may find the grip size too large for concealed carry
Standard sights may need to be replaced for optimal performance
